Every person deserves the opportunity to work hard and get ahead. That’s what the American dream is all about, yet, today, too many feel as though that dream is a thing of the past, not meant for us anymore. I’ve made it my number one priority to grow opportunity in Southern Arizona, to bring more good-paying jobs here, and to help equip individuals with the skills needed to make a better future for themselves and their families.

I’ve fought to upgrade the Douglas Port of Entry, something that could boost trade across our region, and worked to increase staffing at our ports, including passing a bill into law to fast-track veterans for jobs at the border. I hosted a local jobs fair that brought in over 60 companies to help those looking for work find it. I led advocacy to advance funding on four long-term infrastructure projects in Southern Arizona that could bring tens of thousands of jobs to our area. And I’ve been a leader in defending critical local job drivers, like the Cherrybell Postal Processing Center.
